Anklet Size Guide

Finding the right fit should feel effortless.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Simple. You'll need a flexible measuring tape, or a piece of string and a ruler.

HOW TO: Step by Step Guide

Step #1Measure your ankle

Wrap a flexible measuring tape — or a piece of string and a ruler — snugly around your ankle, just above the ankle bone where an anklet naturally sits.

If you're using string, mark the overlap point with a pen, then lay it flat against a ruler to read the length.

No tape or string at home? Download and use the printable template below.

Step #2Choose your fit feel

Decide how you want your anklet to sit, then add the matching amount to the measurement from Step #1:

Snug
 — add ¼ in (or 0.5 cm).
Sits close against the skin.

Comfort — add ½ in (or 1.5 cm). Our most popular fit.
A finger slides underneath.

Loose — add 1 in (or 2.5 cm).
Drapes gently and moves with you.

Wearing charms? Add a little extra so they can swing freely. See the photo on the right for a visual reference.

Step #3Find your size from the chart

Take the final number from Step #2 and choose the closest matching length on the anklet product page.

Examples:
• Measured 9 in → choose 9 in.
• Measured 9¼ in (between 9 and 9.5) → choose 9.5 in.
• Measured 10⅛ in (between 10 and 10.5) → choose 10.5 in.

Between two sizes? Always round up — a slightly looser anklet wears better than one that digs in.

TIPS & TRICKS

Measure at the end of the day.
Ankles swell slightly in the heat and after standing — you want your anklet to feel right when you're actually wearing it.

Where the anklet sits matters.
For a piece that sits lower on the foot rather than at the ankle bone, measure 1 inch below the ankle bone instead.

Stacking two anklets?
Measure both ankles — they're often slightly different sizes — and consider sizing one slightly looser so the layers move independently.

Chain anklets with/without extenders.
Listed sizes are the anklet's chain length. Some styles include a built-in extender, others don't, and add-on extenders are available for select pieces. If yours has an extender, it adds extra length on top of the listed size — handy if you're between sizes or want a looser drape.
